About Fluffy Bear Cubs
Our Cane Corso Program
Our litters are raised directly alongside our family, receiving intensive daily handling, care, and systematic exposure to everyday residential sights and sounds.
Our Story
Fluffy Bear Cubs is a small, family-run breeding program based in Kansas City, Missouri. We are not a commercial kennel. We raise one to two litters per year, with all puppies raised inside our home.
Our love for the Cane Corso started over a decade ago. We were drawn to their intelligence, loyalty, and calm, protective nature. As preservation breeders, our goal is to produce dogs that are sound in body and mind, and to place them in homes that understand and appreciate this incredible breed.
✅ OFA & PennHIP
We track joint longevity down to the millimeter. All lineage sires and dams complete rigorous orthopedic evaluations before planning any preservation litters.

✅ AKC & ICCF Standards
Every parent dog in our home estate is proudly registered with both the American Kennel Club and the International Cane Corso Federation.
Our Health Testing Standards
The Cane Corso is a working breed with specific health considerations. We test for the following before any breeding takes place:
-
OFA Hip & Elbow Evaluation: To screen for hip and elbow dysplasia.
-
OFA Cardiac Clearance: To check for inherited heart conditions.
-
DNA Panel (NCL-1, DSRA, JLPP): To ensure our dogs are clear of these genetic mutations.
-
CAER Eye Exam: Annual ophthalmologist evaluations.
We provide full OFA tracking numbers and DNA panel results to all approved families. You are welcome to verify this information independently.
What We Breed For
We do not breed for color trends or volume. We breed for:
-
Health: We only breed dogs that have passed their OFA hip and elbow evaluations, cardiac clearances, and full DNA health panels.
-
Temperament: We focus on the Cane Corso’s classic stable, confident, and discerning nature. Our puppies are raised with daily handling and socialization.
-
Structure: We aim to produce dogs with the correct, heavy-boned structure and athletic ability that the breed was originally developed for.
Our structural goal is straightforward: produce balanced companions that excel as clear-headed family protectors while fully honoring the noble character and athletic drive the breed is historically celebrated for. We focus intensely on responsible placement, clear handler communication, and matching individual puppy temperaments to the explicit lifestyle routines of our vetted applicants.

Structured Household Integration
Our puppies are progressively introduced to normal household sounds, diverse human interactions, and age-appropriate outdoor activities to systematically cultivate deep, permanent environmental confidence.

Ongoing Operational Consultation
Our relationship with our network continues long after the physical handoff. We provide consistent updates during development and remain permanently available after pickup for guidance with structural routines and integration.

Our ultimate objective is to produce structurally sound, beautifully balanced companions that honor the noble character and athletic presence of the historical Corso.
